Nishadraj Scholarship Scheme for Children of Fishermen in Madhya Pradesh

The Fisheries Federation Working Committee of Madhya Pradesh State has announced to launch the new Nishadraj Scholarship Scheme. The state government has announced to launch the new scheme for Children of Fishermen to help them complete their higher education. As a part of the scheme the state government of Madhya Pradesh has announced to provide beneficiaries with scholarship amounts for completing their higher level education.

Launch details

The new scholarship scheme has been announced by the state government to be regulated for implementation by MP Fisheries Federation Working Committee. The scheme has been launched for offering benefit to the boys and girls belonging to the fishermen community for higher education.

Key Features

Under the scheme the MP government has mentioned that a financial assistance will be offered to the deserving beneficiaries in the form of scholarships. The government will provide with assistance of Rs 20,000 for each of the beneficiary.
The state government has also stated that the benefit under the scheme will be offered to the beneficiaries even if the students want to avail scholarships under other such schemes. As per the statements made, the scheme will also prove very much helpful for students who are aiming at pursuing technical education amongst the children within the community of the fishermen.
At the same time the government also aims at reducing the dropout rates of student from within the community. It will also ensure that these children get quality education.
The government has already mentioned that the scheme is a type of welfare scheme for the community of fishermen and so the scheme will only offer benefit to the children belonging to this community within the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Under the scheme the children who are studying secondary level of below will be offered with financial help equivalent to Rs 10,000 in value annually for their education. The assistance will be offered to beneficiaries for all subjects in general.
For students who want to pursue education at higher level above secondary education will be offered with Rs 20,000 financial assistance in the form of grant on annual basis. The amount can be used by the students for completing technical level education.
The benefit under the scheme will be offered to the students who have displayed their outstanding performance at the academic level in the state. Under this scheme students who have taken benefit of other scholarship schemes earlier are can get full benefit of this scheme as the government has not imposed any such restrictions.

With the implementation of the above mentioned scheme the state government of Madhya Pradesh aims at promoting the ideal of technical education amongst the children from the fishermen community so they can get quality level of technical education.
