CM Medhavi Vidyarthi ChhatraYojana MP benefit on 70% marks in class 10th/12th, Income limit to be Rs. 8 lakh instead of 6 lakh 2018-19 Result Application Form process
Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana is a scholarship scheme for the students in Madhya Pradesh. In recent time the scheme has been updated and some new rules have been added. According to the latest update more students from many courses will get benefits of the scheme. Students who have secured 70% marks will now be eligible for the scheme instead of 75%. CM, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, in his radio show, Dil Ki Baat, has announced about the latest details of the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
- The students under this scheme will have to score minimum of 70% in 10+2 standard or equivalent. Also students who have cleared Joint Entrance Examination and holding ranks up to 1.5 Lac will be eligible for the benefit under the scheme. Until the only up to 50,000 ranks were eligible for the scheme.
- Family income of the students that was Rs. 6 Lac per annum previously will be Rs. 8 Lac annually. The total income of the family, earned by all the members will now be increased by 2 Lac.
Details about the Yojana
- New courses: In this year many new courses will be added to this scheme. All the courses in government colleges across the state will be added to the list.
- Employment: Under this scheme the employment opportunity will be increased. According to the announcement nearly 90,000 vacancies in government sector have been allotted for the students under this scheme.
- Capital grant: There are many industries that offer jobs to the youth of the nation in diverse sectors. Any industry that will provide jobs to at least 100 students will get more capital grant than before.
- Training: Along with the job opportunity, the CM said every year youths will be given skill based training under the Youth Empowerment Scheme in MP. Nearly 7.5 Lac students will be able to get skill based training.
- Food production: The CM has also said about the nutritional food production by the women self help groups. The state will form various women self help groups to produce more nutritional foods.
The scheme has started in the beginning of the year 2017. It has been successfully implemented. Now the CM of the state has revised it to expand more. Now many other meritorious yet financially weaker students will get the opportunity to register under the scheme. This has been done to encourage more students for further studies. One of the leading women based schemes Beti Bachao Beti Padhao will also start afresh for the daughters of the state. Daughter-in-law scheme will soon be implemented as well.
