Incentive Subsidy Scheme for Electric Vehicles Maharashtra Implement FAME (Faster Adoption of Manufacturing of Hybrid Electric Vehicles) scheme
The state government of Maharashtra has announced to fully implement the FAME (Faster Adoption of Manufacturing of Hybrid Electric Vehicles) scheme within the state. The government under the scheme aims at transforming into e-transport system by 2030. Maharashtra state government aims at making the state 100 percent electrified for transport system. The policy has been implemented with an aim to make the state more environments friendly.
Launch details
According to the state government eh new Scheme will be completely implemented within the state by the year 2030 replacing fuel powered vehicles with electric charged vehicles.
Key Features
- As per the new policy issued the state government will be offering buyers with a subsidy equivalent to around 15 percent that will be paid on the overall price of the vehicle.
- The state government has also made it clear that the subsidy will be offered to initial one lakh buyers only. Apart from this, the government has also announced that electric vehicles will not be taxed under road tax and registration act by the state government.
- For effective implementation of the new electric motor scheme the state government has also stated that it shall be setting up of new and better electric charging points within different locations across the state. So to make this effective the government shall be providing with the better developed infrastructure.
- The government will also start with schemes for setting up of charging points for the vehicles at different locations in the state. So this the government has announced to off a subsidy amount of 25 percent for each charging point. The subsidy will be provided by the government for first 250 charging points set up in the state.
- The government has also stated that the sum limit for investing in the charging point within the state should not exceed Rs 10 lakhs in value per station.
- In the initial stages the state government will begin with set up procedures at states including Mumbai, Aurangabad, Pune, Nasik, Thane and Nagpur. Apart from this the government has also declared that the arte of electricity used at the charging points will be much more cheaper in unit charge as compared to the rates applicable under the domestic usage and commercial rates.
- The state government has also stated that with the implementation of the new policy state wide the government aims at attracting an overall investment of Rs 25 thousand crore from the investors. The government also aims that with the implementation of this policy there will be demand for over 1 lakh new job openings in the state.
By implementing the above mentioned scheme the government aims at making use of eco friendly fuel system for running the vehicles. It will focus on using renewable source of energy promoting green earth.
